Backing up Multiple Computers

You can back up multiple PCs or laptops with KineticD. The only additional cost will be the additional storage used.

When you install the Backup Client on multiple computers, you have the option of using the same username and password for all computers, or creating separate user accounts. Using separate usernames keeps each person's data confidential.

To install the Backup Client on a second computer using the same username, log into the web portal with your username and password. Then click on Download at the left menu. Now click “select here to download the application” to run the setup program. Select "Open" or "Run from here" when prompted. Enter your username and password and complete the installation.

To create separate usernames for multiple users on the same account, select Corporate Administration in the web portal. Click on User List at the left menu, then click New User and fill out the form. The system will send each new user an activation email similar to the one you received. Once activated, they can click the download link in the email to install the Backup Client on their own computer.

There is no additional cost for user accounts. Either way, your storage will be shared and you will receive only one bill.
