Depending on the amount of data you have to backup and the speed of your Internet connection, the initial backup may take some time to complete and might be heavy on the system. Simply let it run its course until the Status Viewer indicates your backup is complete.
A large backup will only occur once. For subsequent backups, the Client continuously scans in the background for changed and new files. Once it detects a change, it will flag this file for backup and then compress and encrypt the file, and send only the changed portions to our secure Data Centre. This will be done only during your idle time, when you are not using your system.
In order to complete the initial backup in a timely manner, it may be helpful to click the backup now button, or turn off the suspend feature temporarily, and avoid using the Block Out Feature. You can turn it back on once the initial backup is complete.
