Upload speed varies widely with the specific DSL connection. Some ISPs are significantly faster than others. Most DSL connections are fast for download but much slower for upload. Even the slowest connection should be able to upload at about 50MB per hour. A really fast connection might be able to do 250MB per hour.
You can also speed up the transfer by turning off our suspend feature and avoiding the block out feature. to turn off the suspend feature, double click on our icon, then select Options, then change Suspend to Off. Click OK to apply these changes. The backup will now run even while you are working on the computer. If you find the computer too slow, you can turn the suspend feature back on.
If you have only a small amount of data to be backed up, the initial backup could be complete in a matter of minutes. The initial backup will be more time-consuming based on the amount of data you want to have stored. If you have more than 5GB, you should expect the backup to take some time, no matter how fast your connection.
